As you continue on your bible adventure to the last scene of the New Testament - Doubting Thomas/Ascension scene – a theatrical staged performance. The scene will be dimly lit. The light starts to get brighter and you see Jesus' disciples in the room where they were hiding. You see Mary Magdalene run and say, "I have seen the Lord." She proceeds to give them her message. Suddenly Jesus appears out of nowhere amongst them. After greeting them he showed them his hands and side and how wonderful was their joy as they saw their Lord. He breathed on them and told them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.." If you forgive everyone's sins they are forgiven. If you refuse to forgive them, they are unforgiven." Lights go down and you hear a narration saying, "One of the disciples was not there – Thomas." Lights go on and the disciples tell Thomas that they have seen the Lord. Thomas replies, "I won't believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands and put my fingers into them and place my hand into his side." Then Jesus materializes, looking at Thomas Jesus says, "Put your finger into my hands, Put your hand into my side." (Notice Jesus not just talking to Thomas but talking to you, the audience). Jesus says, "Don't be faithless any longer, Believe." Thomas falls to his knees and says, "My Lord and my God." Then Jesus tells Thomas, "You believe because you see me but blessed are those who haven't seen me and believe anyway." (He is not just talking to Thomas, he is talking to you, the crowd). Jesus disappears again. The lights go out for a few seconds. Another light goes on to a different part of the room. Before you, you see an image of the Lord Jesus Christ standing in front of you – above Him is a cloud and the sound of beautiful music plays softly as you see Jesus slowly begin to rise up into the cloud, rays of lights shine down upon him. As he hovers above the cloud, he says, "Be not afraid, for I am with you always."
