As you start your bible adventure you will enter into your first scene – a theatrical staged performance the Garden of Eden which will be dimly lit. The room is filled with an eerie, suspenseful music. As it plays the narrator says, “Now the Serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. The vile Serpent is pure evil and deceitful. His name is Satan and he has entered into the Garden of Eden.” You will see Satan’s face flash into the background of the Garden of Eden.
The light will get brighter in the room.
You can hear the soothing sound of water as it cascades over the rocks. Everything is peaceful, beautiful and the animals live in perfect harmony with each other. In the center of the Garden is the Tree of Knowledge, standing underneath it is Eve, for she has been beckoned to come closer by Satan, who has entwined his snake like body around the trunk of the tree of Knowledge. Satan’s head peeks around the branches and he looks beautiful! He speaks with a soft intoxicating voice to Eve and asks her why she doesn’t eat from this tree? Eve tells Satan that God has forbade them to eat from the tree of Knowledge for if they do they will surely die!
But Satan deceives Eve and tells her that she will not die, that if she eats the fruit their eyes would be opened and they will be just like God, they would be wise like God! Eve looks at the tree and seeing that the fruit of it was very pleasing to the eye she reaches for the fruit and as she plucks the fruit from the branch, you see the flash of an Evil face with an equally evil grin appear in the clouds across the back of the Garden. As Eve raises the fruit to her lips, Satan grins wickedly, Eve bites the fruit and eats of it; she then calls Adam over who also eats the fruit. Now after eating the fruit their eyes were opened and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons to cover their nakedness. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. With a thunderous voice that rumbles the walls you hear “Where art thou?!” Well, Adam is scared and he tells God he hid because he is naked. Now God knows that they have eaten the fruit and He says to Adam with an even more thundering voice, “Who told you, that you were naked?!” “Have you eaten from the Tree that you were forbidden to eat from?” Adam admits they ate the fruit. God is angered and banishes Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. The lights go down for just a few seconds. They come back on and you see Adam and Eve in once was a beautiful garden and now is a barren land. God sends an angel with a flaming sword to banish Adam and Eve from the Garden never to return. As they are leaving the Garden Eve buries her hand in her hands and sobs, Adam falls to his knees and grabs a handful of earth that was once green and lush but now only dirt falls between his fingers.
Lights go out scene ends.
