As you continue on your Holy bible adventure to the Last Supper scene – a theatrical staged performance. The scene will be dimly lit; you see a large curtain with a slide presentation with a narration of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, Jesus drives out moneychangers, Judas' plot to betray Jesus and the washing of the feet. After the presentation, the lights go out, the curtain opens and the performance begins.
The curtain opens and you see a large table, at the table are seated the 12 apostles and Jesus. The room is shadowed by the flickering light coming from the flames of the torches adorning the walls of the room. The table is dressed with food and wine. (as the actors begin the re-enactment a somber music begins to play And as they did eat, Jesus says, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. At this time you see Jesus dip his hand as does Judas.
Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? Jesus says unto him, Thou hast said. Simon Peter says, "Master where are you going that we cannot go?" Jesus replied, "You cannot go with me now but you will follow me later." Simon peter says, "But why can't I come now for I am ready to die for you." Jesus answered, "DIE for me? No, three times before the cock crows tomorrow morning you will deny that you even know me."
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
Curtain closes.
