The Adulteress Woman

As you continue on your Holy bible adventure to the Adulteress woman scene – a theatrical staged performance.  The scene will be dimly lit; you see a large curtain with a slide presentation with a narration explaining the story of some of Jesus’ miracles – Jesus cast of legion of demons, Jesus walks on water, Jesus raises Lazarus to life, Jesus healing the blind, the cripple woman, healing the leper, and Jesus feeding 5,000.  After the presentation, the lights go out, the curtain opens and the performance begins.

When the curtain opens you will be greeted by the high priest who welcomes you into the temple and then a woman is dragged into the temple and up to the high priest and faces the audience.  He says, “This woman has been caught in the act of adultery.”  The high priest says, “Bring her to the Master.”  As Jesus was teaching in the temple the Pharisees brought the woman caught in adultery and placed her in front of Jesus and said, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.  Moses law says to stone her.  What says thou?”  Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger and they kept demanding an answer.  (One of the scribes will turn to the audience handing them sponged stones.)  Jesus stood up and said, “He that is without sin amongst you let him cast the first stone.”  Again, he stooped down and wrote on the ground.  The Jewish leaders slipped away one by one beginning with the eldest until just Jesus was left in front of the crowd with the woman.  Jesus stood up again said to her, “Where are your accusers?  Didn’t even one of them condemn you?”  She answers, “No, sir.”  He answers, “Go and sin no more.”

Curtain closes.
